Culver-Stockton Chapter Major Philanthropic Events

The men of the Culver-Stockton Chapter of Delta Upsilon participate in two major philanthropies every year. While other smaller philanthropies take place throughout the year, these major events are the staples to our values.

Delta Upsilon Homeless Rally

Beginning as one of the first philanthropies in 1988, the Homeless Rally has been a staple and tradition over the years of DU at C-SC. This event begins in the morning on a Saturday where the men build a giant box fort.  They then stand along side of the road and collect donations that benefit the Madonna House. Along with financial donations the men collect clothing and non-perishable items.  The men then camp out in their box forts all night, no matter of the cold, rain or snow, the men make every attempt to fight the elements.  While the location of the event has changed over the years the overall theme of bringing awareness of homelessness has not.

Lewis County Relay for Life

Delta Upsilon's involvement with the Lewis County Relay for Life began in the fall of 2003. This over night event signifies the fight that a cancer patient goes through from dusk until dawn.  The men have been awarded multiple years the most spirited team and most laps. Doing fundraisers leading up to the event as well as the night of the event, the men raise money for the fight against cancer.
